Challenge #3 - WIMBLEDON

Lunchtime challenge time, and for this challenge #3 we take you to WIMBLEDON, home of the Wombles.

The Wombles are fictional pointy-nosed, furry creatures that live in burrows, where they try to help the environment by collecting and recycling rubbish in creative ways.  They were created by author Elisabeth Beresford in the 60's and whilst they supposedly live in every country in the world, her stories were about the Wombles who lived in the burrow on Wimbledon Common.

The Womble motto is "Make Good Use of Bad Rubbish" and that's exactly what we want you to do in this challenge. Find an item that you wouldn't ordinarily keep or use on a paper craft project and put it to good use. Suggestions could be a coffee filter (unused of course!), a corrugated cup sleeve, bubblewrap, netting from a bag of lemons... the choice is yours and endless!! Or why not alter an items using your papercraft supplies?

Design team member Katherine has illustrated a project below using tin cans as her recycled item. Aren't they fab?

Jane re-purposed an empty cat food box with Graphic 45 into this stunning box.

Don't forget to share your challenge creations with us to be in with a chance to win a prize! Deadline for this challenge to be shared with us is next Sunday July 27th.  Our Facebook Cybercrop Challenge album can be found HERE or leave a comment below with a link to your image so we can see how you rose to this challenge.

Next up is Class #8 HYDE PARK CORNER at 1pm with yours truly. Until then "make good use of the things that you find" and maybe hum along to this tune while you rise to this challenge!!
