February Virtual Crop Class with Tracy

Happy Virtual Crop Day ATDMLers!  I hope you are having a good weekend, even if it has been mostly rainy and cold.  I for one CANNOT wait for the longer days and warmer weather to arrive.

I'm up first today with a class coming to you live from Sunny Wales, where I am away for the weekend scrapbooking with some dear friends ❤️ I really hope you enjoy this class and can't wait to see your versions.

Working with the absolutely stunning Prima Marketing Spring Abstract Collection, I was inspired by the wreath paper, and the pink inkiness that appears throughout the range.

I've made 3 pages, that all come together really quickly, once the fiddly bit is out of the way!

I especially liked the chance to make a page featuring photo's with Rik over the years and it has sparked an idea for another page, or bigger project, to celebrate Freddie's 18th in May.

Your instructions can be found HERE in the 2025 Virtual Crop Google Drive Folder

Don't forget to share your layouts over on the ATDML # Create Facebook Page!

January 2025 Virtual Crop Class with Tracy

Happy New Year!  I'm allowed to say that this plate in January for two reasons, 1) I've not seen most of you yet this year, and 2) I'm up first for your January Virtual Crop!

I hope you have had a fine start to 2025, and have lots of fun times booked in throughout the year to play with pretty paper, and spend making memories with good friends!

I've designed this months class using Vicki Boutin papers.  Who doesn't love a bit of VbB to brighten their January up?

My first layout features an interesting cut, that I think looks really striking on paper, but it did turn out to be a wee bit complicated to explain in the instructions, so I've included some diagrams and measurements, which I hope make some sense!

The second layout includes a bit of getting messy (but not that messy, I promise).  I used white gesso to tone down the background paper, so my photo and the elements could pop.  Yes that's a pic of me (and Rik) circa 2001 with braids down to my thighs! haha

The last layout uses up some more of the ephemera, but there is tons of paper and ephemera left for you to continue playing!

The instructions for all three layouts in the class are in the shiny new VC 2025 folder in the google drive, which is here

Don't forget we love to see your layouts, so please snap a pic and share in the facebook group! 🩷

November Virtual Crop Class, with Tracy

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a better Sunday than me!  I've had a niggling cold all week, but Friday evening it decided to turn into a horrible chesty cough & head cold thing... so I'm really sorry for the delay in today's instructions.

I had such a lot of fun making these layouts for you whilst visiting my Welsh Girls, and gate crashing their crop, to celebrate my birthday! 😁

I love P13 for the fussy cutting opportunities, but also because they always push me outside my comfort zones!  These papers have got some beautiful busy swirly patterns matches with maps and old stuff.

And then balanced completely with lots of leafy florals, and the odd bug or two!

Influenced just slightly by our Flick's love of Fussy Cutting, I particularly love the Bond Girls Layout! 😍

The instructions for all three layouts in the class are in google drives, but you can use this quick link

Don't forget we love to see your layouts, so please share on the facebook group! 🩷

September Virtual Crop Class with Tracy

Well hello there!  As you may know, I started a new job earlier in the year, and it meant my summer was a little crazy! So it's been a hot minute (three months) since I done a Virtual Crop class for you. It meant I got to play with these beautiful autumn papers from American Crafts!

In this class we make three layouts, that come together really quickly, I hope you enjoy them.

But I didn't just focus on Autumn photos, so I hope this class highlights that you can sometimes rebel against the seasonal themes!

You'll find your instructions here. I hope you enjoy the class, and I am very much looking forward to seeing some of you in person at the Autumn Retreat next month!  I hear there might be a couple of visitors too! 🦄🦄

Class 13 We were on a break - with Tracy Annunziato

I'm back, this time with what is possibly one of the most famous lines, and certainly the longest running joke, of the whole series!  We were on a break!  More about the origin and story in my instructions, but putting it into a layout... I broke a background in half!

This fun bright summery Simple Stories collection, Just Beachy, is screaming to be used documenting breaks away from real life!  So I've documented a few trips to Tenerife, where real life just doesn't get me!

I also broke a habit, you'll find no inky backgrounds here today, I've inked the edges of one layout, but that's actually not usually a habit of mine!

I hope you enjoy the class, you'll find your instructions here. Join us back here at 8pm for Class 14, the last of the weekend with Tricia and then we close the day with one final challenge.

Class 9 - The one about Phoebe's Triplets - with Tracy Annunziato

Time for the late night class with me!  I hope you're having a good evening if you are still scrapping along with the time table, and if not, then I hope you are having a good morning/lunch/afternoon/evening depending what time you are reading this!

It's the one with Phoebe's triplets, which was the 100th episode! More about that in the instructions!

Playing with Pink Fresh, The Simple Things, I tried to keep the theme of 3 in mind.  One layout features three clusters,

and another a 3 word title...

and then to keep in line with the power of 3, I made a third layout! After which I remembered there are two sheets of cardstock in the kit, not 3.  So grab one from your stash to do all 3 layouts.

I hope you enjoy the class, you'll find your instructions here.

Class 5 - Joey wears all the clothes! - with Tracy Annunziato

I hope you have been enjoying the Cyber Crop so far... what a fabulous theme!  I am a fan of the show; although not obsessed, I have watched most episodes many times... it's one of those shows I can have on in the background whilst working, and it keeps the room feeling full!

In the episode called "The One Where No One's Ready" Ross is losing his mind because he has an important function at the Museum, and everyone is taking ages to get ready, or not getting ready at all!

Chandler and Joey are having a little tiff, started because Chandler tricks Joey into drinking chicken fat, then Joey takes Chandler's seat when he goes to the toilet.  Chandler then hides all of Joey's underwear, meaning he will have to wear a rented tux commando style.  Joey then wears all Chandlers clothes, except underwear, gets hot and does lunges!  Uttering the brilliant line "You hide my underwear, I'm wearing everything you own!"

I took inspiration from all the layers Joey was wearing, and went for full layers in this class.

The Free Spirit papers, from P13, feature a musical industrial theme, and whilst I embraced documenting when I saw Green Day with an old friend, I also feel like I mixed it up and made layouts that aren't related to music at all.  This range is great for doing some masculine layouts, or just taking in the scenery.

I hope you enjoy the class, you'll find your instructions here.

November Virtual Crop Class with Tracy Annunziato

First up today is a class which might appear to be for the coffee lovers out there, this P13 range certainly leans towards those who appreciate a nice rich Arabica roast, but we are going to make two layouts, only one features anything to do with a caffine hit!

I loved playing with these, and am definitely going to be creating more layouts using all the lovely left overs.

Your first page really showcases the bold navy stripes, whilst a bright white border around your photo makes sure it remains the focus of the page.

Your second page celebrates those blissful coffee moments, with an optional inky background and using the delicate white florals, to make sure the photo is always the star of the show!

I hope you enjoy these layouts, and really would love to see your versions, so don't forget to share in the Facebook group.

May 2023 Virtual Crop Class with Tracy

What a lovely Sunday it is, whether it's sunshine or rain for you today, I hope you are making the most of the long weekend!

I got to play with the beautiful Simple Stories Vintage Life in Bloom range, and I love this class I've put together for you.

I have never been a big fan of chipboard, and frames just don't rock my world... but I have to admit I am so glad I was given them for this class!  I genuinely love the layouts I've made!

We create two layouts, one that will be perfect for a thoughtful selfie, or a pic of a special someone, and really framing the moment!

Our second layout has a really fun vibe, and would go with literally any theme and colours of photos.

I hope you love them too, and really would love to see your versions on our facebook page.

Next up is Karen closing out our May Virtual Crop day at 2pm.

February Virtual Crop Class, with Tracy

I hope you are all having a restful Sunday!  Tracy here, getting ready to dive head first into March, and the sea of daffodils that it brings. I will do my best to enjoy it, but cannot lie, I'm already very much looking forward to April, which brings a lovely long Easter weekend, a well earned massage and of course retreat!

I was lucky enough to get my hands of some of Vicki B's Fernwood for my Virtual Crop class this month. I absolutely loved working with it... the florals and the butterflies are a fussy cutters dream!

I hope you like the layouts I've created for you, which range from distressed florals to a good old simplistic grid design.

The instructions have been uploaded to the Google Files HERE

I love seeing other peoples versions of my page, so please do upload yours to the facebook group, even if it isn't this weekend.

September Vitrual Crop Class with Tracy

Hi, Hey, Hello!  How are you all?  I hope you are all enjoying the weekend, and your virtual crop day.

I've been getting last minute bits and pieces ready for our girls trip next weekend to the Jurassic coast, with some surprises lined up for the birthday girl!  But I digress... I'm really happy to be bringing you a 3 page class with P13's Beyond the Sea!

These papers conjure up nostalgic memories of beach days when I was a kid, and all those elements on the papers are exactly the kind of thing I expect to see on the beaches across the South West Coast.

Since I was lucky enough to have a week in Cornwall, it was pretty perfect for me! :)

I hope you enjoy this class that incorporates a simple but distressed look for the first page, some inkyness on the second and a (hopefully uncomplicated) folding element on the third!

As always, if you have any questions I endeavor to be on hand throughout the day to hopefully help.

Due to a technical hiccup in September the instructions have been emailed to all who purchased a kit. If you have yet to receive these please do drop an email to mel@atripdownmemorylane.co.uk  and please remember to share your layouts with us on the Facebook page.

Class 13 - Time of my Life with Tracy

Are you ready for the final class of the weekend?  This bumper class has four layouts, but they are all super quick to get the weekend wrapped up, leaving you time to get back to those challenges!

The finale of the movie is "(I've had the) Time of My Life", this class keeps that in mind whilst we document our best memories (in my case memories of my recent summer holiday to Cornwall in July).

The Adventure Awaits papers from Memory Place are so easy to work with, lending themselves naturally to quick layouts with lots of layers.  I loved the balloons so much, and the journaling cards and elements on the pages just make it all so easy for the pages to come together.

Here's two of the layouts

I hope you have a lot of fun with this cute range, and I can't wait to see your pages in the facebook group.  As always I'm around if you have any questions just give me a shout.

Download your instructions here.

Class 1 - Summertime - with Tracy

We are kickstarting our Kellerman's Cybercrop with a SUMMERTIME class as the Dirty Dancing film set at Kellerman's Mountain resort took part in a 60's Summertume.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on these sunny papers from Simple Stories Summer Lovin' collection; perfect for a day at the beach, to document a nice summer holiday, or if you're just chilling in the hot tub! (I seem to be able to make almost every paper range work with hot tub pics! haha)

All three of these layouts are pretty simple to start you off, but the second two show how to make your cardstock go further and has some detailed measuring.  It's easy enough to put together, but if anything is confusing just shout for me in the facebook group, tag me and I'll do my best to reply as quick as I can!

I hope you enjoy doing them as much as I did, I can't wait for you to share your layouts in the album.

November Virtual Crop with Tracy

Tracy here, with your last class of today.

I was so happy to be designing with these lovely Friendship themed papers from Photoplay, featuring so many perfect sentiments for the wonderful, and just ever so slightly crazy, friends I am so lucky to have.

My photo's aren't the most flattering, for me or my friends, but I am so pleased I have documented these memories.  It's the little things that we forget, which is why we all do this hobby I guess.

I hope you enjoy the classes and I can't wait to see your versions.

August 2021 - Class with Tracy

Good evening friends.  I hope you have all had a lovely day.  I'm typing to you from Sunny Wales again, sat in the garden with mum, beer in hand, so you could say I'm in my happy place!

I loved the bright colours in this kit, and so I chose a photograph with a rainbow of colours in the dresses and clothes we wore when Ann, Wendy and I finally met up with the Welsh after almost 2 years!!!

The travel theme worked well even for just a day out, and the sticker book will last for ages, it'll be especially great if you're planning a little travel journal!

I used the tags as a feature, because why not? I tried to keep the tag page quite simple, I hope you enjoy it.

The second page is a little more fun but both pages are pretty simple so I hope perfect for an early evening play... I hope you have a rip roaring time!

I really hope you like the class and I am so excited about teaching you all in person at Retreat.  I can't wait to see your versions of the pages, so don't forget to pop them in the albumn.

Stash Busting with Tracy - Washi Tape

Good evening folks.  Time to bust that Washi Tape!  Believe it or not I finished off two rolls of washi making this layout, I know, I have never seen the inside of a roll of washi either!

I taped the washi onto card, to make some blinging sparkly elements for this layout featuring Stella the disco hare, found on our surprise trip to Southend for Ann's 50th (not sure if she's mentioned that to you guys before now!!! lol)

I used a glittery teal and silver, and then a really shiney chrome for the hearts (which I had to cut by hand cause I left my punch in storage!)

Here's another layout from a previous retreat, where I've used washi to make a feature on the right hand side, layering washi like this, in different thicknesses can create a really nice effect.

I can't wait to see what you do to stash your Washi!

May Virtual Crop with Tracy

Good afternoon from Sunny North Wales!  We've got a little bit of messy play for your last class of the day, so dig out that texture paste you bought but never used, grab some ink or paint and get ready to have some fun.

I loved the bright pinks and blues in this travel collection because this colour combo reminds me of a good friend, so I chose them for the inky bit too! The bright pops of yellow, just make these pages feel summery too.  I hope I've explained the process well enough but I will try and be online for a while, so please ask questions and tag me if you need.

I also knew the tickets paper in the kit would please all of us immensely, so I had to feature it heavily in my second layout, along with square circles.

I really hope you enjoy the class, and I can't wait to see what you get up to playing with your stash of paste and ink!

You can download instructions for the class here.

Around the world in 80 hours - Class 2 Athens, Greece, with Tracy

Hi everyone, it's time for your second class in your trip around the world!  I hope you are all getting that mojo flowing with the challenges and Katherines class so far.

I had the pleasure of working with Pink Fresh, Some Days which not only has some lovely pastel pinks with some bold blues and yellows, but the ephemera pack has so many different sentiments and icons in that you can make these pages work for almost any occassion.

I loved all the coffee references in the papers and the ephemera, obviously, so my first page had to be my 40th Birthday celebration with Ann and Sarah. Not quite what we had planned at the beginning of the year but the Starbucks drive through and some strategic parking meant we were able to have a socially distant coffee together (Ann and I have been in a bubble for the duration).

With distressing being my prompt, and having embraced fussy cutting during the first lock down, I decided my second page had to include a significant amount of ripping up paper with abandon and delicately cutting flowers out!  Apologies for the picture subject... it was go yellow day and we had to take a crazy selfie!

I hope you enjoy the pages, I'll be lurking around in the facebook group if anyone has any questions.

February Virtual crop class 3 with Tracy using Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope

Hi Everyone!! Tracy here with the last class of the day.

Today I'll be using Vicki Boutins 'Kaleidoscope' range to create 3 layouts with punchy colours against neutral backgrounds.

When I saw the lemon colours in the leaf papers I instantly knew the photos I would be using would be from our last trip to Italy.  I created lemons using a small punch however the colours would be perfect for G&T's in the back garden on a sunny day

The teal coloured papers just peaking through are a perfect compliment for a sunny day too.

The kit comes with some gorgeous embellishments and wording that begs for you to go wild so are great for those really fun photos.

So let's get started - click here for instructions and don't forget to share over on our facebook page.
