Sunday Chat...

Good morning all, just photographing my layout for this mornings challenge (cutting it fine? Me? Never!) I am cooking a Fathers Day Roast today but not til later on when the Cyber Crop is nearly finished. Can't believe we are nearly at the end but I am so pleased that so many people have joined in and enjoyed it :) :) :)

  1. Morning Mel,

I've given Rob a lie in this morning and even took him breakfast in bed, but considering he has been a saint these past few months letting me lie in at the weekends I felt he deserved it.

Hoping to take part in a couple of classes and challenges later but lots to do this morning and this afternoon. Have a super day.

  2. Jackie Darren is having a lie in too and the girls are eating breakfast (Olivia) and playing Wii Sports (Isabelle)

Hope you have a lovely day and that you get chance to do some more crafting later.

PS I got my journaling challenge layout photographed and uploaded with a whole 4 minutes to spare - Ann would have had kittens had she realised how close it was but as she will still be in bed following her party last night she'll never know Ssssshhhhhhh! LOL

  7. Morning! I'm up and back after yesterday's ghastly event. My younger daughter says it was the worst evening of her life, but it wasn't quite that bad. The 50-minute compulsory quiz was a tad tedious, but at least my team won. Anyway, I'm now feeling very out of the cyber crop loop and I'm about to go back and see what lovelies I missed.

  8. Good to see you survived, Hope your daughter (can't remember which one is the youngest!) has recovered from the trauma of such an awful evening. I am going to say very quietly that I love quizzes but I guess maybe not compulsory ones at a party!

  9. morning all, just got challenge 4 done. Alanna has only just gone down for a nap. so we're now all out of kilter. so we'll have a 'wing it' kind of day i think:)

  10. "The 50-minute compulsory quiz was a tad tedious, but at least my team won."

So you aren't competitive at all then Antonia?
    Glad you made it back.

  11. Kathryn, you seem to be getting such a lot done even though Alanna is still quite small. Caroline, hope your lunch goes well and Queenie enjoy the Christening.

  12. Lol, Jill. No, I'm not at all competitive. The quiz was all based around 1971. Each team had "buzzers" but the quizmaster kept telling us to wait to answer and then counting to three. Obvs, counting people in doesn't work because the sounds are simultaneous. Ridiculous! And there were rather a lot of questions. One of them had six supplementary questions attached. Was quite hard not to lose the will to live.

  14. Morning folks I stayed up doing the sketch challenge so finally stumbled into bed at 4am (but that is the norm for me anyway when away on retreats LOL.) Will get my stuff photographed and uploaded from yesterday evening, make a brew and then see what I have missed. Thankfully I have lots of siblings so will have an uninterrupted day of crafting and will see my Dad tomorrow.

  16. Yay! An impressive 4am scrapper - that is what cybcercrops and retreats are all about. I am back now following my jaunt out last night to a posh do for my school friends 40th, where my youngest insisted on dressing up as Mario and not wearing the nice new shirt I bought him!!
Off to catch up on what you have all been doing and then play along some more this afternoon when hubby goes out to cricket

    ReplyDelete
  17. A miniature Mario might have brightened up the 40th party I went to last night!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Good morning. I'm about to make a digi card with the sketch from last night. What's everyone else working on?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thanks Antonia! Everyone thought he was very cute and commented that you would not have looked twice if a little girl had come dressed as a princess so why should it be different for boys?! Rest assured there will be no 1971 quiz at my 40th!!

Mel, just seen your 4 min comment, I am SO glad I was still sleeping!!

  20. Morning Sarah, I am doing site admin at the moment! Making sure the rest of the day runs smoothly for you all. I have plans for Suzanne's class with Bo Bunny cog paper and wanna do the sketch too today.

  21. Hi Sarah, Having missed last night, I've just started covering chipboard for Jane's October Afternoon layout. Only my second of the weekend, so I haven't managed to be very productive. But I do have some of the classes printed out, and I'll keep going all week. Like those people who take days to finish marathons!

  22. I'm just about to get going - have had brunch with Jonathan and now he's back off to Superbikes. Will have to make my dad a father's Day card and have to get the laundry done too amid all the scrapping!! Hope everyone has a good day :)

  25. I've just finished happily covering chipboard rectangles with pretty paper and I'm feeling very chilled out. Thanks Mel, Jill and Ann for organizing the cyber crop :)

  26. You are most welcome Antonia - glad you are chilled! WIsh I was!!

  27. Hi everybody, just popping in to say hello. Very busy sorting out my papers, lol. My craft room is such a mess ;-)
    Such a nice Cybercrop !!! x

  28. Lol - not chilled any more! WWIII broke out a while ago over a lost door key. I don't know whose story is right so I'm trying to ignore it. Have finished the October Afternoon layout, which I very much enjoyed. Now I'm going to have a go at Mel's mini book from yesterday afternoon.

  29. update to my progress:
Classes 1, 2 , 5 & 9 and challenge 4 are completed but I can't post as pics have other people's children on (mostly my Guides, some of my friends grandsons) & I can't post their photos online ...
Class 4 - 2 minibooks made but blank as I am intending to give them to my friend's boys to fill them over the summer with "stuff we do" - will post pic of covers soon
Have done & just about to post pics of Classes 7 & 8 (used quotes instead of photos for #8!) and challenges 1 & 2 (did a card with a scrap of fabric on it, also used some fabric on my sketch (challenge 4) LO)

    Classes 3, 6, 10, 11, 12 & challenge 6 are not started

Challenge 3 - fundamental problem here, I haven't a clue what of my stash I purchased from ATDML! Don't think it's possible to do theis one
Challenge 5 - hmm ... I journal extensively on most of my LOs, but as I assume this cannot be combined with any other class/challenge I'll have to say I haven't started this

I'll do a distance/blurry shot of all my LOs to show I did do them but I can't post 99% of what I scrap online :(

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've just finished Suzanne's class and am now trying to decide if I should be a better wife/mother or scrap some more?? Such decisions....

  31. Woozle what about photographing aspects of your layout, so not the full project including the photo? I am sure that will count as "evidence" xx

    ReplyDelete
  32. i managed to do 3 lo's this weekend so thanks ladies for a great crop

    ReplyDelete
  33. Woozle I couldn't remember what I had bought from ATDML so I logged into my account on the shop website and it is all filed away in my account info. I'm just waiting for a friend to let me know if it is alright to show a layout that I did of her daughter using papers from ATDML - hope she says yes.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Antonia - I love you!
I figure his mood can't get any worse (cricket match was cancelled) and Mario Kart is amusing the boys!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ann - I had the same idea about photgraphing parts of my LO, so Ive done that & uploaded ...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Woozle, you could always lay pieces of paper over the children or just their faces before photographing, if you wanted to show whole LOs in future. I've done this sort of thing before.

I managed to finish Challenge 5 before the headache that was brewing all morning took hold, so it was pills and bed for me after that. Still a little painful, but I'm determined to do more scrapping :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hope you are feeling better soon Sarah x
Woozle, glad you were able to share x
I'm cooking tea tonight but then have to do some 9-5 work (boo!). Out for dinner tomorrow night for our wedding anniversary so I'll have to finish off the other classes during the week.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Thanks, I don't get them very often and it's probably a weather head due to the ever changing weather.

Hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow. Happy Anniversary x

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hope you have enjoyed \ continue to enjoy the classes and challenges throughout the week. It has been lovely to chat to some of you on here as well as to see your lovely work. I will post a "Post Cyber Crop Chat" so please feel free to keep chatting, especially to update us on how you are doing with the projects you didn't start \ complete in the week...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thanks, sadly have to work during then day, but if I didn;t we would be able to have a nice meal out in the evening!

    ReplyDelete
  41. that's a good point Ann.

Mel, thank you and the ladies so much for putting this week-end together for us. I've been doing loads of digi scrapping this year, so it was nice to play with paper again. Classes were brilliant and the ones I haven't yet done, I plan on doing.

    Thank you once again xx

    ReplyDelete
  42. OK, I am almost finished for tonight. I want to say a big thank you to you all at ATDML for putting this all together. This is my 3rd Cybercrop (2 on UKS), but by far this is the nicest. Reason is: I wasn't stressed. I did 2 classes and 3 challenges that I uploaded over the week-end. What I find absolutely fantastic is that we have until Friday to upload all our classes, so I believe I will be able to do them all. I am not a person to do classes within 2 hours and upload within 4, it stresses me ;-)
Instead, I could learn so many things and techniques during this week-end and do things calmly (well almost, lol). So thank you again. To my cybercrop collegues I saw some very beautiful LOs, wow !!
Good evening all! Anne Majoe (Maria on UKS for those who know me, I couldn't figure out how to put my photo on here, lol)xx

  43. Other stuff got in the way but i am hoping to carry on after work tomorrow... Dan made me laugh earlier ( the children all have a bit of OCD and i tell them to try and fight it) I had been making cards every chance I got and with the cyber crop , sitting at my desk scrapping and he came up to me and said "Mum, you need to STOP crafting now!" LOL Not a chance!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would never have realised it was you Anne. Our piccies are on here because we're using out blogger accounts and so the photo we have on there transfers over automatically.

Glad to hear you've had a good time. I couldn't stick to the timetable either as I take ages doing one LO too, but once it's done it gets photographed and uploaded so that I can put it to bed, so to speak.

Sue, you made me smile with that comment from Dan. You tell him, this is Mum time lol

I'll be looking at all your lovely work during the week. Going to meet and have a cuddle with my new nephew tomorrow, so that comes first I'm afraid.

  45. had to come and share my latest blog post which is not craft related (until I scrap it of course!!). I give you a beautiful sunset taken only a few minutes ago
