Hello everyone, I wanted to share a couple of pages that I made with Kaisercraft's Summer Splash papers. For the first one I went with a washing-line effect and was inspired by the ephemera piece fun items to add rounded corners to my layers of papers. I started with the beach towel paper and used my watercolour paints to add to the background and then added lots of little flicks of different colours. I also used the nuvo drops to add little bursts of colour around the page and a few pearls.
I clustered wood veneers, hessian ribbon and cork hearts around my pictures and used several bits from the ephemera pack.
Here you can see the nuvo drops up close - I think I still need to perfect my application!
For my 2nd page I used this gorgeous beach background - it has beautiful summery colours, and I have been enjoying a little paint of late, so I added a little bit more colour. I created an acetate pocket using some of the ephemera and added sequins and beads - I didn't use foam pads but instead just glued it together so it is quite flat. I added some clusters of embellishments, I used an older simple stories frame and backed it with the hessian ribbon and then added some ephemera to it. I have a little glassine envelope pocked for my journalling and I used some beautiful glittery gold Heidi Swapp words.
Again I used a mixture of watercolour and nuvo drops to add tiny dots of colour around my page.
I hope you've enjoyed the pages.
