What Is Your Most Used Embellishment? Mini Giveaway

So when you are working on a layout or a card and it needs "a little something just here" what is the embellishment you go to most of the time?

For me I have phases depending on what I love at the time - I have had a bling phase, a button phase, stamped image phases and many more besides - well I am moving back towards buttons i think.

That might be influenced by the vast quantity of PRETTY buttons covering our dining table at the moment. It is a big dining table - seats 10 - and most of it has little packs of buttons on it.

We have ordered large bulk bags and are splitting them into 2 oz bags, some a single colour with different shades, some are a co-ordinating mix. Tomorrows job is to photograph and upload them to the website. We feel that with smaller bags it makes it easier for customers to get a wider range of colours rather than buy a larger pack of one colour or mix.

So what item do you love to have on hand for regular everyday use? Post a comment here and someone will win some beautiful buttons for taking the time to comment!

We will pick a winner with random dot org on Tuesday 16th March, last time to get a comment in is 6pm that day.

  2. it has to be ribbon for me! I am like you i go through phases of using one type of embellie all the time, buttons sometimes, flowers, bling, stickles, but a tiny tag of ribbon somewhere is almost compulsory!!!

  5. bling jewells. I use them for so much, photo borders, around large circles, flower centres and they come in so many colours! Of course I'm not adverse to using a button or 2!

  8. I go through phases of using a lot of one staple embellishment or another, swapping from buttons to flowers to stamped images, at the moment it is tags that I seem to be using on lots of LO.

  9. The one embellishment that I always come back to is punched butterflies - they feature on the majority of my cards and layouts. I currently have 6 different butterfly punches and several butterfly dies too - a girl can never have too many butterflies and of course I can further embellish them with pearls, gemstones or stickles.

  10. I always have my ribbons to hand for those finishing touches. Sometimes threaded through a button and tied, sometimes using them with tags. Space available and colour combination usually tells me what is needed.

  11. For me it used to be flowers & gems but recently I can't seem to finish a project with out adding a few punched butterflies.

  16. I'm not sure I have one. I tend to use chipboard quite a bit but really I like making lots of my own embellishments using my computer and my baby bug.

  17. Wow, gorgeous buttons on the site, might have to add a few to my basket one day.

I use bling quite often, the Kaisercraft Rhinestones are perfect for adding to a corner of a photo or embellishment.
