Challenge 12 - Second Chance Antiques

Our last challenge of the weekend as we close our Toy Story themed cybercrop. We really hope you have enjoyed playing along!

Second Chance antiques is the store featured in the 4th and latest film and it inspires our final challenge for you.

Dig out an antique product and use it!!

Have you stamps sitting unused? An old paper collection you have coveted and not quite got round to opening? Maybe that neglected box of brads and eyelets? This challenge asks you to use those antique products (or so maybe just those you've had a while!) and get them on page! As always do share your creations in our Facebook Challenge gallery.

Mel used the vintage and oh so missed Sassfrasslass papers on her challenge illustration above.

And Karen has provided another illustration of this challenge for you and should you prefer a scraplift option you've these two to chose from

That's us for now! Plenty there we hope to keep you going over the summer holidays if you've not been able to join in this weekend. The classes will remain available to download at your leisure and the challenges too, here on the blog, are going nowhere.

Thanks for joining us!

Class 16 - Andy

Hello all - Dolly here again and this is the final class of what has been an amazing weekend of fun and chatter, scrapping and recording those all important memories. Andy loved his toys so much and to show they belonged to him his name was written proudly on the bottom of his toys. So this class is all about writing - although I want you to write a lot more than just your name.

People often worry about writing on their pages, preferring to either hide the journalling or use a computer, but I promise you, in years to come it will be the fact your writing is on your pages that will help to make those memories so special.

My handwriting isn't great, but that really doesn't matter; it is me!

This class will encourage you to document special stories with more than just a who, where, when, why and what approach.

One layout focuses on a lengthier story or event, one focuses on the little things in life that are so often missed yet are the seasoning in our lives and the other - well the other is just for fun.

I can't wait to see what you come up with and most of all, I can't wait to see your writing and read your stories.

Download the instructions here

Have fun everyone and do upload your pages to our class album on our facebook page here

Class 15 - Malibu Ken

Good afternoon

I hope you are enjoying the day!

With all the great weather we have had recently these water themed papers are great for all those pool and beach photos.  Inspired by his fabulous Hawaiian shirts and beach buggy tracks the papers will have you hankering for ice cream!

We'll be doing 2 layouts in this class so download the class instructions and don't forget to share your layouts over on the facebook page. I can't wait to see your versions.

Challenge 11 - The Road Trip

Our penultimate challenge of the weekend takes us back to the latest film which is centred around an RV road trip (I want an RV so badly - am I alone?)

We want you to scrap a road trip or adventure you have had for this challenge

This challenge had almost all of the design team offering up illustrative examples - seems we all like to document our travels and we are excited to see what you create and share with us in the Facebook challenge gallery.

Coming up next at 4pm we have another class followed by your last challenge of the weekend.

Challenge 10 - Jessie

Howdy again partners! We are back with another challenge and this time its the wonderful Jessie. who appears in Movies 2, 3 & 4 along with her trusted steed Bullseye the horse. She wears cow print chaps and they and Bullseye are our inspiration for this challenge.

Your challenge is to use animal print paper or stamps on a layout.

Please share any challenge layouts you make in our Facebook challenge gallery for the Cybercrop - we'd love to see them.

Karen and Jane have illustrated this challenge below - feel free to scraplift these if you'd prefer - or just go do your own thing inspired by prompt above.

Coming up next on the timetable is Mel at 2pm with a very sunny class.See you then.

Class 13 - Bullseye

"Jessie loves critters, but none more than her best pal, Bullseye!" —Andy
And honestly who couldn’t love Bullseye, the affectionate horse with the puppy like mannerisms. He may not speak but his expressions and mannerisms say it all.

This class’ inspiration is Bullseye’s name, bullseye meaning the centre of a target. We will use patterned papers from the Crate Good Vibes collection to create layouts with a focus point on the page or on the embellishments.

Instructions on how the layouts were put together can be found here.  Don't forget to pop into the ATDML #CREATE Facebook page to show use what you've done and to join in with the cybercrop chatter.

Class 14 Sunnyside Daycare with Mel

Wow, what a weekend of scrappy fun it's been and it isn't over yet!

For my last class I have created three layouts using the fabulous Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope collection. The bright rainbow colours reminded me of the rainbow in the logo for Sunnyside Daycare which features in the third movie.

The second layout uses a calmer more muted palette

and as for the third layout, well take a trip over to the website to download the instructions and see which style layout number three goes with!

Come back at 4pm for our penultimate class; Malibu Ken with Tricia.

Class 12 - Rex

Hello all and I am back with my second class for our 2019 Toy Story themed cybercrop.

Rex is the lovable insecure green dinosaur from the Toy Story films starring in all 4 movies.
He has tiny arms and, inspired by those, this class creates pages featuring lots of tiny elements to add dimension and interest...oh and a bit of Rex green also!

Hope you have funny layering up creating with this kit where there is plenty of scope for free styling! Find your class instructions Here and be sure to share to our gallery on Facebook and tag us with #atdml elsewhere on social media.

Your next class is at Noon with Debbie! Enjoy

Challenge 9 - The Claw

Another challenge and we are hoping you will like this one, time to be like "the claw" and grab 5.

The Claw is the name given by the Aliens to the machine in Pizza Planet which aims to grab toys from a pool below. Instead of grabbing toys you are challenged to grab the 5 items in the list below and then make a layout using only them, plus adhesive and photos!

You can use whatever supplies you like to take part in this challenge as for the others and we'd love to see you share your creations to our Facebook Challenges gallery created for this Cybercrop. A illustration from Ann is below.

Coming up next is class 12 with Ann at 10am.

Class 11 - Lotso bear

Good morning early birds

Welcome to day 3 of the Cyber Crop!

Today we are starting with a class based on Lotso bear -  a sweet-smelling bear with a dark centre. Crate paper's La La Love range is a range of sugar-sweet papers with random zings of hot citrus colours.

What could represent 'Lotso' bear more than lotso hearts - rows and rows and rows of them. And it's the perfect opportunity to scrap what you love whatever it might be. So get your scissors out and let's get cracking.

We'll be doing two layouts in this class and there are even more hearts in the 2nd but much less fussy cutting so pop over to download the class in full.

Ann is back at 10am to give you something to get your teeth into with her Rex class so join us then.

Challenge 8 - Forky

Good morning to you all and a very happy Sunday.

Out next challenge is titled Forky who is introduced to us in the fourth Toy Story movie.  He is made by Bonnie from craft items Woody recovers from bin along with a spork and comes to life in Bonnie's backpack to become her favourite toy.

For this challenge we want you to alter something, like Bonnie did the spork to make forky

Need some ideas? Well you could alter the front of a notebook, some wooden elements you later use on a page, or go all out and alter something into something else entirely. Jane altered a shoebox into a lovely photo or minibook storage below resembling a suitcase.

This is always one of the most popular and astonishing challenges we have at our retreats and with no time limit it will be great to see what people make for this one. Certainly something for you to ponder over your Sunday morning cuppa and, as always, please share your projects in our Facebook Challenge gallery.

If you really don't fancy altering something.. Then can you make a layout about something that's altered? Karen has done just that in her page below.

So what else is on for today? Well your first class is at 8am with Tricia, followed by another challenge at 9am and a further class at 10. Happy scrapping!

Class 10 - Wheezie with Katherine

Welcome to my 2nd class - Wheezie - he started as a dusty, old, slightly broken and messy toy in Toy Story 1 - he was the old penguin up on the shelf.  In this class we look at the messy and break/tear and distress the beautiful Prima Georgia Blues papers to make 2 layouts.  Again there is a bit of painting, and I have used some gold mist and water colour - these steps are completely optional, depending on how messy you like to be!

Remember to share all your creations in our Facebook Group.

Katherine

Challenge 7 - Pizza Planet

Challenge 7 for you next and Pizza Planet is the noisy arcade/diner featured in the first movie. We often see layouts on Pinterest and in galleries on line featuring pizza slices or wedges...so this was an obvious choice for this challenge.

Create a scrapbook page featuring pizza slice shapes/wedged elements

A couple of the team have illustrated the kind of layout you can create based on this prompt below if you need a scraplift option

Ann's layout

Mel's layout

You can use whatever supplies you like to take part in these but we'd love to see you share your creations to our Facebook Challenges gallery created for this Cybercrop.

The last class of the day is up at 8pm and then we will leave the rest of your evening free to craft away or spend time with your loved ones (because they may be feeling neglected if you've been creating all day!!) See you then!

Class 9 - Slinky Dog

Welcome to your next Toy Story themed cybercrop class - the wonderful Slinky Dog.

Slinky Dog is one of the toys from the films and is one of the most lovable characters. He often stretches his coiled centre to reach and rescue and this class has two pages inspired by him. The first layout stretches elements from one side of the page to the other and the second features lots of coils (ok circles!) layered up Slink style!

If you have one of the lovely Cocoa Vanilla Hello Summer kits you can download the instructions for the class or feel free to follow along with your own choice of papers and scraplift away! We do have a classes gallery over on Facebook if you are inclined to share your pages and if you use social media do tag us with #atdml

We will welcome you back at 7pm with another challenge before Katherine is up at 8pm with the last class of the day.

Class 8 - Woody

"Yee-haw! Giddy-up partner! We've got to get this wagon train scrappin’ a-movin'!" [Woody Toy Story 2]
Sheriff Woody Pride (also known as Sheriff Woody; usually addressed as Woody) is one of the main characters of the Toy Story films.  He is an old-fashioned, floppy, pull-string cowboy doll with an 'original hand painted face'. The voice-box that is activated by the pull-string says many simple phrases such as "Reach for the sky!", "You're my favourite deputy!", "There's a snake in my boot!", and "Somebody's poisoned the waterhole!". Woody was once Andy’s favourite toy until Andy grew up and gave him to a little girl named Bonnie. He was the leader of Andy's toys and later Bonnie's toys and the hero of the Toy Story films. In each film, Woody leaves Andy/Bonnie's room (where he and the other toys live) and ventures out into the world on an unexpected adventure.

This class takes its inspiration from Woody’s name and hand painted face by making use of the woodgrain paper and die cut, and the painty paper and die cut shapes from Kaisercraft’s Havana Nights Collection.
Instructions on how the layouts were put together can be found here.  Please pop into the ATDML #CREATE Facebook page to show use what you've done and to join in with the cybercrop chatter.

Next up “You got a play-date with destiny Slinky! [Lotso]

Challenge 6 - Gabby Gabby

Back again with another challenge and we have another new character from the fourth film Gabby Gabby. She' has a broken voice box in the film and as such no child will love her. For this challenge it's going to be all about your voices

Create a page featuring a conversation or with journaling from another persons point of view

This challenge has been illustrated below by Karen and features journalling from both her and her husband.

And here's one by Jane with a journaled conversation...

You can use whatever supplies you like to take part in these but we'd love to see you share your creations to our Facebook Challenges gallery for this Cybercrop. Do save some of those stories though as Karen has a journaling focused class coming tomorrow as well!

Next up today is Debbie at 4pm with her next class for you.

Class 7 - Buster the Dog

I hope you are enjoying the CyberCrop so far and enjoying playing along with the toys!
Buster is Andy and Molly’s beloved pet dog who appears at the end of the first movie. Buster the dog loves playing with the toys in the films and these layouts are pages that you will want to play with as they each have an interactive element – (not to mention the fact that I have used pictures of my dog ‘Betty’ in these pages!)

Below are the two pages I have created but if you want to see the interactive element of each you will need to go to the instructions which are available here.

Be sure to share your creations to our gallery on Facebook and tag us with #atdml elsewhere on social media.

Join us again at 3pm for another challenge inspired by Gabby Gabby then join Debbie at 4pm for Class 8 'Woody'

Challenge 5 - The Sandpit

Another challenge for you lovely crafters on this Saturday afternoon - and if you ever saw the first movie you will recall the sandpit scene in the garden where the toys come to life to scare naughty Sid, the kid next door. We most definitely want much happier sandy thoughts though for this challenge though and encourage you to "play nice" as Woody says at the end of this scene!

Create a page featuring beach or sandpit photos!

This challenge has been illustrated below by Karen and Jane should you need or prefer a scraplift option for this challenge.

You can use whatever supplies you like to take part in these but we'd love to see you share your creations to our Facebook Challenges gallery which can be found >>here<<.

Next up is the lovely Jane who has returned to create a G45 cybercrop class for us this weekend. Pop back at 2pm for that, followed by another challenge at 3pm.

Class 6 The Prospector with Mel

Hello and welcome back for your next class, The Prospector! We are going to gloss over the fact that this characters other name is Stinky Pete and focus instead on the fact that he is brand new in the box.

When I ordered in this collection to use for this class it arrived from the distributor and I loved the papers so much I made all three layouts there and then on the day it arrived, brand new in the box. This may not have been an unusual or noteworthy thing except it arrived three days before the last retreat and technically I had a few other things I *should* have been doing!

Here is one of the three layouts, to see the other two and download the full instructions head over to the ATDML site here.

Remember to check back throughout the day for more challenges and do take time to chat and share your creations over on the ATDML # Create Facebook Page.

Your next class is at 2pm and is with Jane Hewitt.

Challenge 4 - Sheriff Woody

Howdy' scrappers! Happy Saturday to you all and it's time for another challenge with the main man Sheriff Woody. This one is a super easy challenge for you!

Feature stars on your layout to represent the sheriff badge.

This challenge has been illustrated below by Karen and Ann if you need a scraplift option but we are sure you'll be happy to use stars anywhere on your page.

You can use whatever supplies you like to take part in these but we'd love to see you share your creations to our Facebook Challenges gallery for this Cybercrop.

Pop back at Noon for your second class from Mel this weekend.

Class 5 - Sid the kid next door

Good morning Campers

Hope you enjoyed the Mr & Mrs Potato head class,

Let's go from one of the lovable characters to one of the baddies - Sid the kid next door!  He is known for his scruffy grungy teenage clothing and the Cocoa Vanilla 'Totally Rad' range is great for that look.

The range has a great range of patterns and motifs that are reminiscent of skater wear, gaming motifs as well as extreme sports.  Grab your favourite teen photo or make use of the bold symbols to accent your quirkiest photos.

Earlier in the year, I was lucky to be able to travel to Japan and Thailand, we stopped off at a gaming cafe for lunch and these photos were perfect for them.

We'll be doing 2 layouts in this class - here's a sneak peek of the 2nd - pop across to the main page to download the class and instructions in full.

Join us back at Noon for Mel's Prospector class - YeEEhaAA!!!

Class 4 - Mr and Mrs Potato Head

Good Morning everyone and I hope you are having fun with the challenges and classes.

Dolly here and I am pleased to welcome to your first class this morning, the aptly named Mr and Mrs Potato Head. No, I don't mean my other half and I look like this famous couple - no comments please - but we do share much in common with them. This couple, introduced in Toy Story 2, were inseparable and very, very happy together, embracing each other's quirks and foibles and - quite frankly - oddities.

My class is all about love and uses the gorgeous Kissing Booth from Simple Stories.

Love can be the love you share with your partner or the love of children, parents, pets or all of these things combined. Whatever and whoever you love, celebrate it with this class where there are three pages for you to create, one of which has an optional mini book as part of the page.

This is the first page - and it dares you to do the unthinkable, and cut a photo!

There is a second page which includes an optional mini book if you chose to make it.

There is also a third page with instructions from this massive kit. Click Here to see all the projects and grab the free instructions.

I hope you enjoy playing along and I can't wait to see your creations and don't forget to upload your pages to the classes album on our facebook page here

Challenge 3 - Giggle McDimples

Good morning early risers! Welcome to day two of your ATDML Toy Story themed cybercrop. We are kick-starting the day with our third challenge of the weekend.

Giggle McDimples is a character in the fourth film, released just last month and is tiny but mighty.

For this challenge we want you to make a mighty impact on your pages with tiny elements, be these sequins, brads, enamel dots, gems etc

This challenge has been illustrated below by Karen should you prefer a scraplift option

Karen sticks with the Disney theme for this cute page featuring some tiny embellishment clusters.

You can use whatever supplies you like to take part in these but we'd love to see you share your creations to our Facebook Challenges gallery for this Cybercrop.

Karen will be up on the blog in an hour for your first class of today followed by Tricia at 10am and another challenge at 11. Happy Saturday!
