Time to look at the Bo Bunny DT Gallery

Some of you may have seen the DT creations for April using Bo Bunny papers but just incase you haven't they can be seen here and the paper collections can be found here.

One of my favourite collections is Timepiece and here are a few glimpses of the DT work using this range including a layout from Dawn, a card by Karen and a layout of mine.

Hoping you have time to create this Bank Holiday.

Purple Patch

I have been working on finishing those part done layouts still and I seem to have had a bit of a phase of using this purpley lilac colour on my pages!

Neither layout is particularly complicated but I am happy with the end results and the part finished pile is reducing!

The Tim Holtz tickets which I love so much geature again on the second layout, I never get tired of adding them if I have a word that fits with my layout. What is your "go to" item(s) that you can't resist adding?!

Not Strictly Scrapping...

But today I have been on a Wild Arena photography day at a Big Cats Centre. I know that many of my fellow scrappers are also keen photographers so I am sharing some photos here. These are just a few I took...

On A Mission!

I haven't had a lot of scrapping time of late. We are on Easter holidays and while DH has been working on various DIY projects around the house I have been entertainer in chief for the kids who have been keen to get out and about! However, what I have been trying to do is finish off some of the many many part started layouts that are hanging around in my craft area. I find that it is not always the most rewarding of tasks as usually they are half finished BECAUSE I lost inspiration or had no idea where to go with the layout. What I do like however is reducing the pile of "Work in progress" layouts. Above is a layout that I started AGES ago of Isabelle playing on the Wii Fit. She is, once again, very keen on using the Wii Fit, especially the Yoga as she goes to a childrens Yoga club each week so she likes that she can practise her tree pose on the wii!!!! I used some Basic Grey Lime Rickey and also some letter stickers from the Sassafras Amplify range. A few more part finished layouts should be completed soon and then I might just get started with some new stuff!

More retreat winners as promised

As promised in my post last week we have more retreat winners to share with you. Denise was the lucky winner of the scraplift challenge - where delegates were challenged to scraplift one of several layouts created by the design team.

Pat won the sketch challenge prize with her very funky layout.

My class was a single layout class as previously shared and used the Prima Madeline range. There was plenty of papers within the kit to create a second layout and instructions for an example second layout were included in the class. One of our delegates Claire managed to finish her second layout during the weekend and I loved it so much I thought I would share here in the blog.

Only 29 weeks to go until the next retreat at the end of October 2011! But don't worry - we have a little special something up our sleeves for between now and then sure to keep you all in scrapping heaven!

Lovely Lille

Sorry - the flowers will have to wait, I forgot the photo for the blog until it was too dark to get a good one! What I do have to show you is some of the lovely new 7 Gypsies that has been added to the site today. These are the journal pages from the Lille range and as ever 7 Gypsies have come up with a gorgeous line. I am slightly confused as to why the Union flag is on the cards alongside the Eiffel Tower and in a range named after a French town however geography aside I really like this range! Take a look HERE on our site to see the Lille products, you won't be disappointed. PS If I am missing a really obvious reason as to why the Union flag would be on this range PLEASE enlighten me - I won't be offended!

Been Cropping

Today I have spent the day with the lovely ladies from the Eclectic Keepsakes Crop. It was wonderful to sit and play with paper all day after a very busy weekend last week!

Unfortunatly I can't share what I was working on yet as it was for the DT (and the camera battery has died!) however I will try to upload a couple of photos tomorrow which show the flowers I made as part of Karen Moss' beautiful bag class. Hers looked like this (picture courtesy of the Eclectic Keepsakes Blog)

It sounds unbelievable but it is true - I actually used a real needle and thread and did some real life sewing - mine are not quite as professional looking as Karens as I wasn't very good at hiding my stitching!

Retreat Challenges

It is always so amazing to see what a group of crafters can create when given the same remit. One of our retreat challenges was to use a mystery kit to create a layout or project with a restricted list of additional items that could be used and the creations were all so different and included a double sided calendar among an array of layouts. The winning layout was however by Nikki who won a lovely stash prize from the shop.

The altered item challenge is, quite possibly, the most amazing in variety of finished products and IMPOSSIBLY difficult to judge and pick a winner. The item for altering was a small cardboard jewellery box which in itself was lovely in pearlescent cream with a cute ribbon tie...but then our super talented ladies got creative...items included Wendy the Robot, a musical circus, a tiny treasures wardrobe to name but a few. Just take a look at these!! (Click on the photo to enlarge) Helen was the very lucky winner with her Alice work of art which features one of the mini bottles new from 7Gypsies.

Tina won the card challenge with her very pretty feathered creation.

Jane (creator of the mini circus in a box) won the Charts top10 challenge with her gorgeous canvass entitled "Born this Way".

More challenge winners tomorrow.
