Loving Emmas Shoppe

On Saturday, in the midst of an otherwise hectic and stressful day I spent a lovely few hours in Marks Tey with the girls from Eclectic Keepsakes who invited me to teach the class for June.

I have really fallen in love with the homespun feel, the Cath Kidston style florals and the gorgeous colours in the Emmas Shoppe collection by Crate paper and I knew I wanted to use that range in my class. It was also another opportunity to indulge my love of all things patchwork!

This is what I came up with - the frame stands up from the rest of the page with foam pads adding extra dimension which I love and my two new favourite purchases (Martha Stewart punches - butterflys and the embossed button) are in evidence of course!

Tomorrow I will share the card i made with the leftovers (more patchwork *smile* )

I believe sometime soon the ladies over on the Eclectic Keepsakes blog may have a couple of kits leftover to sell (with instructions) do take a look at their blog even if you don't want a kit - last months balloon layout by Karen Cole was just fabulous!

DT Gallery For June

The Design Team Gallery for June is now online and features Echo Park papers and embellishments. Click HERE to see the gallery.

Our guest designer this month was Christine Emberson, here is a little info about her:

I live in Kent with my two sons and probably too many cats! They allow me to live with them as long as I feed them on a regular basis and in return I am allowed photo privileges. I work part time in London for a law firm, luckily part time as I can rush home and craft as much as possible I've been scrapbooking for a few years and I enjoy layouts and altered art the most. My style is somewhat vintage with a slightly out of control addiction to butterflies!

You can see me and my creations at http://hope-chances.blogspot.com

A Couple Of Updates...

Just a further update to let you know that the photo requirements for class 1 have been added to the blog post about photos.

Regarding the kits we have managed to make up a few extras and while they last they can be found HERE.

Finally for those who didn't manage to get a kit or for those who are aiming to use up their own stash just a reminder that you can definitely join in with all the classes whether or not you have the same supplies as used in the example. We just wanted to give everyone's mojo a kick start and get you scrapping so substitution, adaptation and freestyling are all most welcome!!!

Kit Update

Just to let you know the kits have sold out - if we can make up any more we will add them on Sunday (I am out at a crop all day tomorrow)

All kit orders so far will go out Monday \ Tuesday to be with you in time for the weekend :)

If you didn't get a kit please don't worry, you will still be able to play along with items from your own stash however as I said above we will see if we can gather enough supplies to make a few more up!

Have a great weekend!

:)

Your Cybercrop Photo requirements

As promised more information for you in terms of what photo requirements you will need for your twelve forthcoming classes. Details for two classes are still to follow but this post will be updated when we have those.

Photo requirements for Cybercrop Classes

Class 1
Between 4 and 12 photos which will be cropped to approximately 3.5" square. I used black and white 6x4" photos and cut them to size but this only works if your subject has plenty of background showing around them!

Class 2
Three 6”x4” (2 Portrait, 1 Landscape)
Five 3”x2” (3 Portrait, 2 Landscape)
One 1 ½”x 2 ½” (Portrait)

Class 3
To follow

Class 4
Up to twelve photos no larger than 2 ¾ in x 2 ¾ in

Class 5
3- 5 portrait photos needed (not landscape) and no more than 2” wide.

Class 6
Photos can be added later.

Class 7
None needed for this class

Class 8
2 or 3 portrait photos measuring no more than 3” wide and 5” tall
Landscape photos will not work with this project.
Photos can be added later.

Class 9
Class uses three photos, you could just as easily use just one or two (for one photo, use the largest, for two photos use the two largest). The photos are being cut into circles 5.5” diameter, 3” diameter and 1.5” diameter. There is plenty of ‘give’ in the photo sizes. All photos should have a white border

Class 10
One 6”x4” photo Landscape (but portrait would also work)

Class 11
Photos can be added later.

Class 12
Class layout uses three photos each measuring 2”x3” (2 landscape, 1 portrait)
The class can be adapted for other sized photos.
