July Sketch challenge with Tricia

Morning guys

Welcome to this month's sketch challenge which has been inspired by the Simple stories Sunkissed range.  I love the bright colours of this range and I wanted to match the bright primary colours with primary shapes.

I love this photo of my nephew and his Dad on one of their first holidays and the blue skies and sunglasses was a perfect match for these papers.  With the good weather we have had this year I'm sure you have a good few snaps that would suit this layout or why not switch it all up and create your own layout using the sketch as a basis.  Flip it, rotate it but whatever you do, don't forget to upload your example in the Facebook album so we can see what you have been up to.

June Virtual Crop Class 3 with Mel

Hello everyone, how is it June already? Half the year has gone by in a flash!

This month I have been working with the Kaisercraft Explorer range. It's been a while since we were able to travel but I found some old photos from previous trips which I used however the layouts could be adapted to suit adventures much closer to home.

Click Here for Instructions and to see layout 2.

I hope you enjoy the class, do stop by the ATDML # Create Facebook Page and share what you are up to.

June Virtual Crop class 2 with Simple stories and Tricia

Good Morning guys!!

Welcome to class 2 of this month's Virtual crop!

This afternoon we'll be using the gorgeous, Vintage cottage fields range from Simple stories.  This range is full of soft colours inspired by blooming flowers and nature found in your back garden.

For my first page I wanted to bring elements of looking out your window across your garden (one of my favourite views from my house and slatted fences with climbing flowers.

I layered the chipboard frames and backfilled two of them with strips of paper to create a slatted effect.  I also made use of the frames with grouped flowers to also create a trellis effect. I added in some wood effect alphas to complement the theme.

For my second layout I wanted to capture the mood of sitting out in my blooming garden with bunting or festoon lighting and fluttering butterflies all around.

So grab those photos of lockdown walks, picnics in the garden (or the Park) or just you in your favourite flowery top!!

June VC Class 1 with Ann

Hello my lovelies -  I join you today (albeit virtually) on my 18th Wedding Anniversary. I mean I think this means I should have included more photos of hubby and I on the layouts I have illustrated for you today but I have not! I will make sure to get some today!

So if you were lucky enough to get the lovely Heidi Swapp kit for my class today you will be able to replicate all 4 of my layouts and still have some left over. Otherwise just scrap along with your own stash and use the pages for inspiration - after all...it is just about getting those memories in albums, telling your stories and enjoying the creative process whilst you do.

Your instructions showing all of my pages and how to create them can be found HERE and I would love to see you versions shared in our Facebook group album. Have a great scrappy day if you are playing along today - or indeed I hope you enjoy the class when you do sit down to play.

May Virtual Crop with Tracy

Good afternoon from Sunny North Wales!  We've got a little bit of messy play for your last class of the day, so dig out that texture paste you bought but never used, grab some ink or paint and get ready to have some fun.

I loved the bright pinks and blues in this travel collection because this colour combo reminds me of a good friend, so I chose them for the inky bit too! The bright pops of yellow, just make these pages feel summery too.  I hope I've explained the process well enough but I will try and be online for a while, so please ask questions and tag me if you need.

I also knew the tickets paper in the kit would please all of us immensely, so I had to feature it heavily in my second layout, along with square circles.

I really hope you enjoy the class, and I can't wait to see what you get up to playing with your stash of paste and ink!

You can download instructions for the class here.

May Virtual Crop with Katherine

Hello, our class today is using lots of pretty watercolours and ephemera.  The colours range from blues to purples to pinks.  There are some beautiful puffy stickers and plenty of ephemera to pack your page with.

You can add your own watercolour touches to the white cardstock or just let the prima papers do all the watercolour work for you!  There are 3 pages, above is the first and then 2 more, including one about you.

I hope you enjoy them, do share them in our facebook group and join in the chatter.

You can find the class here.
