Christmas Countdown Day 10

Morning Scrapbookers!
Almost the end of another year of crafting with your ATDML design team and boy what an inspiring year it has been. I thought I would take a look back at some of my favourite layouts in the gallery and use one to inspire some crafting this weekend.

The January 2017 gallery was filled with lots of wintery pages, so if you were lucky enough to get snow earlier this month head there for some inspiration. This page from Karen gives the option of plenty of photos which can be swapped out and mixed up with similar or same sized embellishment squares and or journalling blocks. This format would also work well with multiple xmas day photos!

And I recall this layout from Tricia being especially popular this year as well, especially all those tucked away snowflakes along the exposed Kraft card. Might have grabbed myself a box of 24 small white snowflakes from Sainsbury's earlier this week from their Christmas present "toppers" range (they said "toppers", I read "layout"!!)

Finally I picked this layout from Katherine from November's gallery as I really want to have a go at the pin/thread technique on a page.

All very inspiring and I want to take elements from each of these and have a play this weekend. In the meantime I can get some photos of the festivities printed off ready and maybe even get some more pages in my December Daily journal done too!

Happy crafting!

Christmas countdown Day 8 with Ann

Another festive page from me this boxing day wishing you all much merriment this holiday.  It uses Kaisercraft Mint Wishes which have been very popular with the design team :)

Hopefully you took lots of lovely photos over Christmas and the team have inspired you with our festive pages to get your memories in albums.

More coming up over the next few days.

Christmas Countdown Day 7 - Kaisercraft Mint Wishes.

Hello, hello - Karen here with a double layout (waiting for photos of the big day) I made as a class for my Christmas Crop.  For more details of what else we made see here.   It was my lovely friend Liz Thrower who suggested that we could use this range and I am so pleased that she did as I had dismissed it as not being 'Christmassy' enough!

When I make a double layout, more often than not, I place my two pieces of cardstock side by side and work across both, which is what I did with this one.

I cut two pieces of paper in half and added to each side at the top and bottom.  I then added another piece of wood grain paper spanning the two.  To this piece of paper I placed borders from the sticker strip at the top, middle and bottom and the large flower sticker across the middle at the bottom of the page.

Once I am happy with the design of the page I cut it into two and finish embellishing it.  For these pages I added more stickers, some mint pearls and some clusters of flowers 'fussy cut' from one of the papers from this range.

This is such a versatile range.  In fact, Patty (you all know the lovely Patty) wanted to use the double page for photos of her 80th Birthday celebrations so I cut the words 'To Party' out of black card, in a similar size and font, for her to add to the title making it 'Tis The Season To Party'.

We are having a break from blogging tomorrow but check back on the 26th to see what else we have for you.

Wishing you A Very Happy Christmas from us all xxx

Christmas Countdown Day 4 with Bo Bunny

Hello, hello.  Are you getting excited yet?  Only four more sleeps till the big day and only 1 more sleep until Gracia and Josh are home.

I  love it when we are all together because that's when the full on fun starts, we have to all wear silly hats and take the obligatory photo and everyone obliges as they know I have to have one to scrap!

The one I used for this page doesn't include Josh :0(  as it was taken on Boxing Day, but it illustrates how silly we all get (including Kiera).  The Carousel Christmas  range by Bo Bunny reminded me of old fashioned story books and cars and this particular piece didn't need very much added to it as it was perfect for my photos.

We call Boxing Day 'Christmoss Day' as we are usually at home that day and it's the day we open our presents to each other. I used a couple of squares from the cut apart sheet, added another photo, of Gracia's light box proclaiming it to be Christmoss Day! In fact it's the same piece of paper that Katherine used for this layout - just goes to show how versatile this range is.

All that was needed to finish my page was a few wooden buttons (from my ATDML Retreat Goodie Bag) a couple of stickers and some enamel dots scattered about the page.
