January Virtual Crop class with Kaisercraft and Ann

Happy Virtual crop day you lovely people - hope you are wrapped up keeping warm on this chilly day.

I have a warm set of layouts for you today using Kaisercraft papers and ephemera pack to brighten your day. There will be lots left over and plenty of opportunity to vary these up and make them your own which I hope you will do.

Instructions for the three pages I made with the kit can be found HERE and even if you don't have the kit hopefully you will be able to get some inspiration for your next project.
Have a great day, I am off to play with my Hello Today year long project!

Virtual Crop Class 1 with Karen

Hello everyone and I hope you are coping with 2021 so far. I think the continued restrictions are hard on everyone but as a community I feel we are lucky because our scrapping is so good for our mental health.

I hope that you enjoy this class and I have two pages for you, with a whole mess of bits left over too so you can play after class.

I was keen to show that the collection is suitable for heritage style scrapping and most definitely not heritage based.

It will be no suprise to you that my new additions feature in one of the pages this month- any excuse eh!

The collection is very versatile and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

You can find the instructions HERE and I do hope you will share what you make in our gallery.

Have fun and stay safe

Dolly xx

Jan Virtual Crop Class 3 with Debs

Welcome to the final class of the first 2017 ATDML Virtual Crop.

This class was designed o get you scrapping your Christmas photos using the fabulous October Afternoon 'Under the Tree' papers.  I thoroughly enjoyed working with these patterned papers than could be cut up and used to embellish layouts.

Link to the instructions can be found here.

Looking forward to seeing your finished pages.
Happy scrapping lovely people.
xoxo

Jan Virtual Crop Class 2 with Ann

Hello hello on this chilly January Saturday, brrr!! Time to forget those winter blues and create some vibrant sunshiney layouts with my class today which features papers from Simple Stores Life in Colour collection.

As always the instructions to create the layouts I have created (all 3 of them) can be downloaded for free HERE but don't worry if you don't have the kit as certainly layouts 1 and 3 can be made with any papers and layout 2 is nice and simple to create with any of the 6x12 split papers Simple Stories do or just trim down your own papers and pair up to create a unique background or your own.

I hope you enjoy the classes. Pop back at 2pm where Debbie brings you your third class of the day and don't forget the challenge too, posted last night.

Jan Virtual Crop Class 1 with Mel

Hello and a great big WELCOME to the first Virtual Crop of 2017. I hope you enjoyed the challenge set for you last night, I am sure it got the creative cogs turning ready for a weekend of scrapping!

My class kit was issued long before we had the cold snap but for those of you who had lots of snow (or even just a little but enough to get a photo of it!) this will be perfect. I on the other hand used old snow pictures for my first two layouts and my third, non snowy, layout is the only one with recent photos!

As always full instructions can be found HERE on the website. Please do share your creations and ask any questions or make any comments over on the ATDML # Create Facebook page.

Join us again at 12 when Ann will be bringing you the second class of the day.

Jan Virtual Crop weekend challenge - Inspired by...

Welcome to our first Virtual crop weekend of 2017.

We have moved our challenge from the usual Saturday morning to Friday night - the third Friday of every month ahead of three classes tomorrow to give you more time to join in. This challenge runs until midnight on the last day of January and there is a £5 ATDML gift voucher up for grabs for the favourite page chosen by the design team so why not join in?

The challenge is to create a layout inspired by the image above.  You can take inspiration from the colours, shapes, patterns, layout or the black and white images, the choice is yours.

I have illustrated how I have been inspired by this image below just to give you an example. I focused on staying with multiple images, black and white photographs, the grid format but changed up my colours.

We have added a Jan 17 Inspired by challenge gallery to our Facebook Page too so do share your
creations to be in with a chance to win the monthly prize. See you all back here tomorrow for your three January virtual crop classes starting at 10am with Mel.

Virtual Crop - Class 3 with Jane

Hello everyone and I hope you are having a happy scrappy time virtual cropping with us. My class uses the Prima range 'Engraver'.

These papers are perfect for vintage layouts and so I chose photos of a wedding from 1932 for my fist project.

The first project is a double layout with some fussy cutting of flowers and some layering.

My second layout is a single page which features lots of distressing and layering...

Virtual Crop - Class 2 with Katherine Sutton

Hello, I hope you are all enjoying the crop - my class uses Simple Stories Say Cheese and we make 2 pages.  You could adapt this class easily to use any of the Simple Stories ranges, and others too - it uses a mix of 3 by 4" and 6 by 4" cards and then base patterned papers.  I used a polaroid app on my iPhone to get the curved borders around the photos LiPix.

My 2nd page uses lots of portrait 3 by 4" cards - in strips - a bit like a film real and again most paper manufacturers make this size card so you could adapt it to Websters, Echo Park, Project Life or Graphic 45 and get a completely different look.

Here is a link to the class, do upload  your pages to our Facebook gallery as we would love to see them.

Virtual Crop - Class 1 with Karen

Hello and welcome to our January Virtual Crop and are you ready to have some pretty paper fun?

For my class I have created two layouts using the absolutely gorgeous and girly Websters Pages 'Sweet Routine'.

Where Did The Time Go is the title of my first page and I am sure we all ask ourselves that question when we look at how our babies have grown.

My second page is called Our Pride and Joy and uses some of the cut apart cards in the kit.

The instructions for these pages are here.  As always we love to see what you make so why not pop a photo onto our Facebook gallery here.

Katherine is up next with her class.

Hope you have lots of creative fun today

Karen

January Virtual Crop Preparation

Our virtual crop is scheduled for the 17th January, there will be challenges and lots of classes to join in with.

So in preparation you might like to make sure you have

Class 1 - Karen Moss

Layout 1 -

3 3 by 3" photos

1/2" corner rounder if you have one

Layout 2 -

6 by 4 portrait photo

Class 2 - Katherine Sutton

Brown ink for inking edges

Layout 1 -

4 4 by 4" photos which will be trimmed to be 3 3/4" square photos.

I used a phone app called LiPix which gives you a nice polaroid border as shown below

Layout 2 -

2 3 by 4" photos - portrait

mine are black and white but colour will be fine

Class 3 - Jane Hewitt

Layout 1 - A double page which has 2 sepia toned photos -

1 portrait 3.5 by 5"
1 landscape 3.5 by 5" (though 4 by 6 would fit too)

They don't have to be sepia but this colouring works really well with the papers - vintage photos/styled photos would work really with this class.

Layout 2 -

4 by 6 landscape photo
