December Virtual Crop Class 3 with Mel

Hello and welcome to the last class of todays Virtual Crop.

My class kit featured the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas range and I had lots of fun digging out some Christmas photos however you could prepare your pages ready for some 2016 photos if you want to get ahead! If you are doing that just take care not to stick down sections of elements which will overlap a photo such as the top left hand corner of the journaling block in the first layout.

Thanks all for joining us for a whole year of Virtual Crop and Cyber Crop inspiration. We hope you have all enjoyed it, the Virtual Crops will continue in 2017 so don't forget to join us on 21st January for that!

In the meantime remember that every day of Advent the ATDML design team will be sharing a festive item which may be a card, decor item or festive layout.

Finally do pop over to our facebook group; ATDML # Create and join in the Virtual Crop or Advent fun, we love to see what you have been making this festive season!

Class 2 - December Virtual Crop with Kaisercraft Silver Bells

Hello, I hope you are enjoying the crop....and yes the first page is pink...not a colour I scrap with that much, but the papers are beautiful.  A little bit of tearing and lots of distressing, as well as a few snowflakes, it would work well with snowy pictures or wintry ones as well as Christmas and there are loads of stickers to choose from for the titles.

I love the turquoise blue in this collection and we cut out some of the baubles and hang them from the photo - also we use gesso or white acrylic to add a snowy feel to the edge of the papers.

Finally a grid one - which is really easy to line up as the backing paper is square.  You can add the photos now or just save them for Christmas as all the photos have a cardstock/paper backing.

Don't forget to share your creations or ask any questions over on the ATDML # Create Facebook Page.

Join us at 2pm for the last class of the day with Mel.

December Virtual Crop with Karen

Hello, hello lovely ATDML scrappers.  Today I bring you two layouts using the utterly gorgeous My Mind's Eye - Joyous collection.

This range, which is full of traditional colours and lots of glitter, was the perfect paper for the phot of Kiera all wrapped up.  She does like to open a present or two on Christmas day and they don't always have to be her ones so we have to keep a close eye on her!

The reindeer paper included in the kit was absolutely perfect for the photo Gracia sent last December when she went to The Beamish Museum - you are able to buy moss to feed to the reindeer and she was 'horrified' by the sign advising that you could feed some of the lovely moss to the reindeer because she is our lovely Moss!

Instructions for this class can be found here and pop back at 12 for our next class with Katherine.

December Virtual Crop Photo Requirements

Hello, our last Virtual Crop of the year, the kits have all sold out, but you can put together your own kit and download the instructions on Saturday.

Our challenge will go live at 8:00 am and then the classes are 10:00am,12:00 noon and 2:00pm - though you can also do them at your leisure.  Come and join the chatter in our Facebook Group ATDML#Create

Class 1 - Karen Moss

All the pages are Christmas themed.

Layout 1 - 4 by 6" landscape

Layout 2 - 4 by 6" portrait

It would be good to have a border punch

Class 2 - Katherine Sutton

All the pages are Christmas/winter themed.

Layout 1 - Two black and white 3.5" squared photos (trimmed from a 4" square photo) - this page is mostly pink.

Layout 2 - 6 by 4" black and white landscape

Layout 3 - Three coloured 2 3/4" squares (again you can crop elements from larger photos), you can use more or less photos for this page (the min being 0 and max 9)

It would be good to have white gesso or acrylic paint and a small piece of kitchen sponge (I cut a bit of one of the scourer sponges), a snowflake punch (or any 1/2" punch that fits with your photos) and some silver glitter glue and a stapler

Class 3 - Mel Hand

Layout 1 - Two 4" square photos

Layout 2 - 6 by 4" portrait.
