Even more new goodies

More new goodies continue to arrive in the store. Bo Bunny etcetera is a collection I can't wait to scrap with - take a look at these...

I also love the Welcome Home line too, especially the chipboard pieces - how nice is the picket fence?

There is also several other lines from Bo Bunny including an Autumnal range, Sweet Tooth and Garden girl, all within the New Products section of the website and there are plenty of matching bits and bobs including double dot cardstock packs to coordinate with each of the new collections.

Travel & Holiday Photos To Scrap?

With many people heading off for holidays and summer trips right now no doubt many of you will soon be scrapping travel photos.

At long last the Boarding Pass collection from October Afternoon which was released at winter CHA has arrived and is now on the site.

Take a look at the lovely stickers and papers from this collection. The colours and patterns are going to be so much fun to work with!

7 Gypsies Webinar...

This evening we "attended" the 7 Gypsies Webinar where retailers could view a presentation of the new 7 Gypsies products which they are releasing for Summer CHA. We have been told that on Friday we can post images of the products and designer samples along with a "Look Book" full of ideas which also includes a little look at the evolution of the papers through the design process. We found the presentation really interesting and we won a little giveaway which was great!

Come back on Friday and I will get as many images and details on as I can - needless to say there is lots of great stuff including several *really* fab bits which we know you will love.

Our order was placed within a couple of hours of the end of the webinar so we should be able to show you on Friday a lot of the things we actually ordered.

On another ordering front we have sent off our order to Bo Bunny and I am really excited about that too. I love it when we are ordering new stuff - not great for the bank balance but guarenteed to get the creative ideas flowing!

It's A Tough Job...

... But someone has to do it.

I got in from taking the kids to town with Darren and was greeted by Mum brandishing a catalogue. Held inside were details of the Bo Bunny Summer CHA release and the accompanying order forms.

I don't have pictures yet to go on the blog but let me say I am completely in love with Et Cetera and Welcome Home! In total there are 5 new regular lines plus 2 Christmas lines. Now to choose what we want to order.....

I will see if I can (and am allowed to) get some peeks up here and you can give your feedback on it. There is a gorgeous apron shaped edgy album with one of the lines and I am seriously coveting the ruffled apron they have available as a retailers incentive for orders over a certain value - the products are so lovely it will be easy to spend the required amount but I *need* that apron so it is a nailed on cert!

Pictures to follow when I can - blogger is not playing nicely so I can't even load up any other picture to go with the post :(

Placing Orders...

Things have been very busy this past week here at ATDML as we place orders for the CHA show. This is the second year in a row which we haven't travelled for the show but it has just not been practical to organise juggling other jobs, children and time.

We are fortunate that in these more challenging economic times the manufacturers are keen to get all the business they can so what were once exclusive show discounts are often offered to all retailers placing orders before and during the show in person or via email so we are lucky that we are not missing out on most of the offers.

What we do miss very much is the chance to see the products in the flesh. There are some lines which you just can't appreciate via a computer screen (and this has a knock on effect for sales from our site) a case in point would be the My Minds Eye Lost & Found which looks "OK" online, but sold like hot cakes at our retreat because in the flesh it is one of the most beautiful scrapbooking lines I have ever come across.

Anyway, I thought I would keep you up to date with what to look out for in the store as the new product starts to ship and arrive...

Maya Road
My Little Shoebox
October Afternoon
Websters Pages
Bo Bunny
Graphic 45
7 Gypsies

and lots more!!!

Calling All 7 Gypsies Fans......................

We were up very late last night until 2.15am as 7 Gypsies were holding a Webinar to showcase their new products for Summer 2010. We love 7 Gypsies and asked if we could share the catalogue with our blog readers and they said that YES! So here it is
Let us know what catches your eye, we have placed our initial order which included almost all the new product but we are always keen to find out what people are most anticipating!

Look what is coming...

On Tuesday our 7 Gypsies Avignon papers will be here not the embellishments yet because like so many of the manufacturers 7 Gypsies have the papers ready but the embellishments "to follow" - This is one of my biggest pet peeves with this industry - it isn't like a couple of weeks before they suddenly realised it was CHA - they knew the dates ages in advance (next years winter dates have been released) so why oh why can't they order the full line to be ready on time!!!!!!

In addition the American Crafts products that were ready to ship are in the same package as our 7 Gypsies. UPS have it scheduled for deliver on Tuesday.

In the middle of next week these will be arriving at our freight forwarders. Guess what, the papers are ready but the embellishments will be a few weeks! ARGHHHHH Once they arrive at the freight forwarder in California they will be sent to us along with whatever else has arrived!

Of course remember, when the bulk of our CHA orders has arrived we will be selecting the winner from our "Audience Participation CHA giveaway" so if you posted a suggestion keep an eye out here, it could be YOU receiving a box of new stuff FREE of charge!

Which Is Your Favourite?

The Basic Grey new releases are on their site, four new lines, two to be releases in February and two for April. In addition they are rereleasing some of their classic collections; Sublime, Black Tie, Phresh & Phunky, Vagabond & Fusion return to the shelves as part of their "Vintage" collection. There is also a Basics line from BG - remarkably similar, if a little more grunged up, to the Scenic Route Background papers which are of course no more since Scenic Route closed their doors
The four main new collections are below, post in our poll to the right to let us know which is YOUR favourite of them
GREEN AT HEART

KIOSHI

CAPPELLA

MAX & WHISKERS

A quick google finally found a few October Afternoon photos which people had taken at the show. From what I have seen it looks good. I have seen several lines (including one from October Afternoon) with kites on - looks like one of the next "favourite embellishment" although there are still plenty of birds (free and in ornate cages) and trees to be had!

As before, any exciting finds you come across on the net from the CHA show do post a link and let us know what you stumbled upon!

ATDML Monthly Challenges

Round about this time each month you will see a post dedicated to showcasing some entries to our monthly challenge and revealing our winner who will win either some goodies or a shopping voucher.

The monthly challenges will invite you to work either on a theme or with certain product types to create either a layout, card or other project to meet the challenge. The deadline for challenge entries will be the 20th of the month with the new challenge being posted on either the 21st or 22nd of the month.

Tomorrow we will have our first challenge revealed. To enter you will need to email me a photo or scan of your layout, card or project resized to no larger than 1000 pixels on the longest side to blogchallenges@atripdownmemorylane.co.uk - By entering you agree that we can display your work on our blog and \ or our site with you credited as the original designer.

Be sure to check back and see what challenge we have set for you as we head from January into February!

~*~*~ CHA ~*~*~

For the first time in 4 years neither of us will be making the trip across the pond to CHA which will sadly mean no photos from the show floor. We are disappointed not to be attending but the dates did not work well for either of us and we decided to place our orders from this side of the Atlantic this year. We hope to return next winter when the show will be moving from Anaheim to downtown LA.

CHA Sneak Peek Links

We have been spending more time today preparing and placing some CHA orders. Reading through the comments on the post about what you would like to see we have been speaking to the people at October Afternoon - they were very mysterious and said we wouldn't find images of the new product until after the show... so we will have to place that order a little later than we hoped!

We have been visiting the Websters Pages site and admiring the paper collections and the really exciting looking 12x12 embellishments and letter sticker sheets. Needless to say these will also be finding their way onto our shelves as soon as they are shipping them out!

For those who fancy a little look at some of the sneak peeks here are a few to try:

Here for Prima
Here for Websters Pages
Here for Maya Road
Here for Graphic 45

Oh and if you find a sneak peek of the October Afternoon that has been leaked onto the net do post us a link - we would love to see what we are hoping to order LOL!
