Class Prizes

Well the deadline for uploading class projects from the cyber crop has finally passed and we had a total of 49 separate entries. Each one went in the draw for one of the six mini prize packs.

I got Random dot org to pick me 6 numbers from 1-49 and the numbers were allocated as follows: Class 1 participants number 1 - 13 the participants for class two were numbers 14 - 16 with the person who was number one in class 2 being allocated number 14... I hope this makes sense!

Anyone drawn twice will win one prize and a further drawing made.

June 2012 Cybercrop Challenges

We hope you all enjoyed the recent weekend of cybercrop fun here on the blog and played along with our classes and challenges. We just wanted to give you a quick summary of the challenges held over the weekend and to remind you they are open until 6pm on Sunday July 1st 2012. **Cybercrop Class 12** By Ann Freeman

Final class for the weekend sadly, but hopefully you still have time for a little more inspiration, this time a Jubilee layout from Ann using 7 Gypsies Postale papers.  Of course you can play along with your own products that is fine, just use the class to kickstart a page.

**Cybercrop Challenge 6** SCRAPLIFT IT

Final challenge for the weekend and a nice easy one for you. Simply visit the May or June Design team gallery, chose a layout and Scraplift it. Scraplift simply means take inspiration from the layout you see. You can copy it exactly or simply choose elements to repeat such as product placement, the overall layout design of the photos/title etc - the choice is yours.

Some of you will know our gallery was hacked last month and we lost many years of inspirational layouts and projects from the design team. We are working hard to restore them for you but it is a very labour intensive task sadly.  We'd love to see your appreciation of the hard work the designers put in each month so rise to the challenge, go scraplift a layout and share it with us here on the blog , as always, using the inlinkz tool.

One last class to follow at 3pm from Ann Freeman as we wind down our weekend of crafting. Remember all the classes will stay up on the main site for a while yet but the challenge deadline is next Sunday 1st July at 6pm.

**Cybercrop Class 11** By Karen Moss

**Cybercrop Challenge 5** Olympic Podium

Happy Sunday morning crafty people. Thank you for joining us again as we continue on with the final day of our cybercrop. What better way to start than with another challenge! With the London 2012 Olympics just around the corner we thought it was a topical subject worthy of it's own challenge. So step on up to the Olympic Medal winners podium of 1-2-3. For this challenge we ask that you create a scrapbook page featuring

1. ONE sheet of cardstock
2. TWO sheets of patterned paper
3. THREE photographs

You can also add stickers for your title/journaling, use ink, paint or pens and adhesive and add a few embellishments too, but only use 1 sheet of card, no more than two patterned papers and include three photos! Take a look at how some of the design team rose to the challenge.

Ann's layout - Sweet child of mine features a woven background from her first patterned paper and then a 4"x12" strip across the page with her second.

Karen Moss's layout - Here come the girls featuring not only a trio of photos but a trio of handmade leaves and paper roses too.

Dawn's layout - Ticket to ride using My Little Shoebox papers and varying the size of the three photos used.

**Cybercrop Challenge 4** SKETCH IT!

Shhh, almost time for bed, but before you go, or maybe first thing tomorrow here is a sketch challenge for you. Take the sketch below, supplied by our very own Jane, and use it to inspire a layout or card.

Of course we have a couple of Design Team illustrations for you. 

Karen Moss uses Simple Stories Destinations papers in her Bologna Babes layout replacing the circle with a giant luggage tag and swaps the photo placement on the far right with the journalling block on the far left.

Katherine's Jet Ski Layout

For this challenge I shrunk down the sketch and placed the circle up in the top section of the page. I used the lovely Websters Pages Sunday picnic papers to document our family fun at legoland

Jane's Canvas 

For this challenge I was keen to use my latest photos of my niece Daisy who is now back in our lives after a 4 year absence. I made my layout on a canvas that had been painted with a dark cream acrylic paint. I chose the Echo Park 'Times and Seasons' papers because I wanted a daisy design but my niece is not a 'girly' girl so I didn't want a pink or overly flowery theme. Some plain white 'daisy like' paper flowers and 'Roller Rink' Thickers completed my canvas.

Dawn's Happy Days layout features Simple Stories papers and sticking pretty close to the original sketch format for a fresh summary page.

**Cybercrop Challenge 3** READ ALL ABOUT IT

Our second challenge of the day up for you now as we ask you to join in this journalling challenge called READ ALL ABOUT IT. This challenge is to increase the amount of journalling you include on your next project, indeed make it quite a feature of your page. We are sure you all have stories out there you have yet to tell explaining the background to a photo, a costume worn, a nickname given...jot them down for this challenge and share your projects with us. Uploading your cybercrop projects

Just wanted to do a quick blog post to assist any of you who don't have blogs with uploading images of your cybercrop creations. It seems that you have to put a url address in when sharing images using inlinkz and this will be the location that anyone clicking on the image is taken to to view your work. Most people have Facebook pages and if you upload your images to Facebook and then right click on those images you can select "copy image url". If you then paste this in to the URL box when uploading photos it will only show your image and no other Facebook information. Hope that helps a little, it may take a while before the image appears on our blog, but please don't be disheartened, we love seeing your work!

**Cybercrop Challenge 2** JUBILEE BUNTING

Welcome to the start of your Saturday cybercrop as with kick off with a BUNTING challenge.

Recently the Jubilee saw an array of Union flags (or Union Jacks) on display in many homes, in shops and streets, so we challenge you to add some bunting to a project. Again our design team have some projects to share illustrating how they rose to the challenge which we hope you will play along with.

With the recent Diamond jubilee it seemed only fitting that my bunting challenge should be themed in this way. The photos were taken just before the jubilee on a visit to London to meet some dear friends from Texas. I was delighted to see all the flags and bunting everywhere in London. This is a really simple page made with a sheet of white card with a union flag design applied with distress stains mounted on a sheet of blue Bazzill. The bunting is made with left over photo printing paper and the whole page is then finished by adding journaling and doodling, some Prima 'Say it in crystals' and white 'Jewellery box' Thickers.

I love adding bunting to my projects, for this challenge I decided to go off the page, and make a frame for our house. I die cut some Home Sweet Home tags and then use Crate Papers Farmhouse collection to make the backing papers (which I also stitched). I hung my bunting and added a few stickers to complete it.

And yet another Jubilee layout! This time Mel uses a clean graphic style to document a trip to a local street party. Mel used off cuts of neutral paper and cardstock to create the bunting triangles and accented them with red white and blue decorative elements.

This challenge is open until 6pm on Sunday the 1st July 2012 so plenty of time to play along and share your bunting projects using our inlinkz tool to be in with a chance to win something in our random prize draw. **Cybercrop Challenge 1** STAMP YOUR FEET

Our first challenge for the weekend entitled STAMP YOUR FEET!
Time to dig out your much loved stamps and put them to use on a new project for this weekend. You can stamp on a layout, maybe with alphabet stamps for a the title or a stamped image, or if you prefer stamp on a card or a tag and share it with us here. For each of the challenges this weekend we will bring you some design team projects illustrating how they interpreted the challenge. Feel free to use these to inspire you as well.

I don't automatically reach for the ink when stamping but lately find myself using paint more often. It leaves a thicker less than perfect stamp which can be left as it is or jazzed up with stickles or glossy accents to provide a variety of different looks. Here I stamped THOSE in white paint.

For this challenge I decided to make a card and not only stamp but emboss my stamped design and do a resist technique. I stamped the background with a large Chinese script stamp onto gold card then aged it by applying black ink. For the front stamped image I applied wild honey distress stain to some white card then when it was dry stamped the Chinese characters with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used black ink to cover the whole piece, rubbing back to reveal the stamped image. A wide grosgrain ribbon and a mini origami kimono finished my oriental themed card.

Many of you might ask what a Puffle is - it is the orange fluffy thing in my sons hands in the picture, and the page documents how we lost and found the treasured Puffle. For this challenge the focus was stamping, so I die cut some circles and stamped in the middle of some of them using Autumn Leaves - Flourishes version 3 and lots of different coloured inks, the papers are Crate Papers Farmhouse range.

The challenge is open until 6pm on Sunday the 1st July 2012 so plenty of time to play along and STAMP YOUR FEET!
