"Yee-haw! Giddy-up partner! We've got to get this wagon
train scrappin’ a-movin'!" [Woody Toy Story 2]
Sheriff Woody Pride (also known as Sheriff Woody; usually
addressed as Woody) is one of the main characters of the Toy Story films. He is an old-fashioned, floppy, pull-string
cowboy doll with an 'original hand painted face'. The voice-box that is activated
by the pull-string says many simple phrases such as "Reach for the
sky!", "You're my favourite deputy!", "There's a snake in
my boot!", and "Somebody's poisoned the waterhole!". Woody was
once Andy’s favourite toy until Andy grew up and gave him to a little girl
named Bonnie. He was the leader of Andy's toys and later Bonnie's toys and the
hero of the Toy Story films. In each film, Woody leaves Andy/Bonnie's room
(where he and the other toys live) and ventures out into the world on an
unexpected adventure.
This class takes its inspiration from Woody’s name and hand painted
face by making use of the woodgrain paper and die cut, and the painty paper
and die cut shapes from Kaisercraft’s Havana Nights Collection.
