Looking Forward To A Bumper Week of Prizes...
In addition we will have a slight schedule amendment and this fortnights Trends on Tuesday will make the short hop over to Thursday because on Tuesday we will be participating in the UKScrappers Blog Hop!
If you complete the hop and comment on all the blogs you will be entered for a special prize with donations from various UKS sponsors including a £15 ATDML voucher.
In addition we may just have a special offer for our blog readers on that day as well :)
I have nothing crafty to share today - my only creative project on the go is a layout which will feature in the blog hop post. I will however be making some time to get scrapping next week as I have a head full of inspiration still from the cyber crop and a whole lot of pictures that are just waiting for me to pick them up and get scrapping!

Rise to the challenge

Websters Pages June Gallery
And it featured on a fair amount of my projects for the gallery this month too! This quick and simple 3 panel, one photo page of my youngest at our friends wedding still has the journalling to be added to the lefthand cardstock panel but you see how when combined with neutral colours the pastel heart paper is just so pretty!
And on this soppy page feauturing my husband I show how, despite being from a wedding collection of papers the hearts can be used on a male page that has no wedding theme at all.
Both the FOREVER and the CHERISH words used on the above pages come from this paper which has a nice neutral coloured back to it as well featuring a petal shaped pattern which I cut out and added to the top layout. Plenty left over to use on cards too!
If you are inspired by any of the projects in our June gallery and thinking to yourself, I'd like to scraplift that, dont forget to enter the scraplift challenge posted over the weekend, ends this Sunday July 1st, and be in with a chance to win a prize!

**Cybercrop Challenge 2** JUBILEE BUNTING
Recently the Jubilee saw an array of Union flags (or Union Jacks) on display in many homes, in shops and streets, so we challenge you to add some bunting to a project. Again our design team have some projects to share illustrating how they rose to the challenge which we hope you will play along with.
By Jane
With the recent Diamond jubilee it seemed only fitting that my bunting challenge should be themed in this way. The photos were taken just before the jubilee on a visit to London to meet some dear friends from Texas. I was delighted to see all the flags and bunting everywhere in London. This is a really simple page made with a sheet of white card with a union flag design applied with distress stains mounted on a sheet of blue Bazzill. The bunting is made with left over photo printing paper and the whole page is then finished by adding journaling and doodling, some Prima 'Say it in crystals' and white 'Jewellery box' Thickers.
By Katherine - Home Sweet Home
I love adding bunting to my projects, for this challenge I decided to go off the page, and make a frame for our house. I die cut some Home Sweet Home tags and then use Crate Papers Farmhouse collection to make the backing papers (which I also stitched). I hung my bunting and added a few stickers to complete it.
By Karen Cole - Jubilee Weekend.
Another Jubilee example, this time featuring papers by 7Gypsies Postale collection
By Mel Hand - Jubilee Street Party.
And yet another Jubilee layout! This time Mel uses a clean graphic style to document a trip to a local street party. Mel used off cuts of neutral paper and cardstock to create the bunting triangles and accented them with red white and blue decorative elements.
This challenge is open until 6pm on Sunday the 1st July 2012 so plenty of time to play along and share your bunting projects using our inlinkz tool to be in with a chance to win something in our random prize draw. First class of the day will be up at 10am with Ann and a Simple Stories project to tempt you. See you back here then.
Thank you for joining in! Please share your project for Challenge #2 here.

**Cybercrop Challenge 1** STAMP YOUR FEET
Time to dig out your much loved stamps and put them to use on a new project for this weekend. You can stamp on a layout, maybe with alphabet stamps for a the title or a stamped image, or if you prefer stamp on a card or a tag and share it with us here. For each of the challenges this weekend we will bring you some design team projects illustrating how they interpreted the challenge. Feel free to use these to inspire you as well.
Example by Ann
I don't automatically reach for the ink when stamping but lately find myself using paint more often. It leaves a thicker less than perfect stamp which can be left as it is or jazzed up with stickles or glossy accents to provide a variety of different looks. Here I stamped THOSE in white paint.
Example by Jane
For this challenge I decided to make a card and not only stamp but emboss my stamped design and do a resist technique. I stamped the background with a large Chinese script stamp onto gold card then aged it by applying black ink. For the front stamped image I applied wild honey distress stain to some white card then when it was dry stamped the Chinese characters with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used black ink to cover the whole piece, rubbing back to reveal the stamped image. A wide grosgrain ribbon and a mini origami kimono finished my oriental themed card.
Example by Katherine - The Puffle Story
Many of you might ask what a Puffle is - it is the orange fluffy thing in my sons hands in the picture, and the page documents how we lost and found the treasured Puffle. For this challenge the focus was stamping, so I die cut some circles and stamped in the middle of some of them using Autumn Leaves - Flourishes version 3 and lots of different coloured inks, the papers are Crate Papers Farmhouse range.
The challenge is open until 6pm on Sunday the 1st July 2012 so plenty of time to play along and STAMP YOUR FEET! Why not share your creations below using our inlinkz tool to be in with a chance to win something in our random prize draw? That is our Friday night complete for classes and challenges. See you back here tomorrow morning for more fun and crafting inspiration.

Trends on Tuesday - Chevrons
Chevrons/Zig Zags are still really popular, in papers and on stamps. I used Crate Papers Farmhouse collection for my page (and used the negatives for my title I looked at a little while back) and created a rainbow pattern with all the different papers. For my page I used a die cut machine to cut them out, however there are lots of different ways of making them. You can just measure meticulously and cut your own out, or you can use this super folded chevron tutorial by Julia Stainton which I love - here is the link. Chevron papers make a great basic in your stash and lots of different manufacturers have them in their collections like Simple Stories here, so you don't have to make your own.
Here are some other great chevron pages to get your creative juices flowing like
Mandie's chevron packed pages (not sure whether some of them technically class as arrows, but they have a great zig zag feel) where she shows how well they can work on boys pages, here is the link
This page by Lynne Stewart on Crate Papers Blog, here is the link, not only has she used a chevron style print for the background, but she has created her own chevrons using diamond shaped pieces of paper.
Finally you can also even stitch a chevron as shown by this gorgeous card over on American Crafts site by Cindy Toben, here is the link.
Hopefully that has given you lots of ideas to incorporate some more chevrons into your pages...maybe use them in this weekends Cybercrop too (so excited about it as there are lots of fantastic challenges and classes coming up)

Football scrapping
Tonight I am enjoying a night off from report writing and after a late night yesterday I am planning on an early one tonight after the football. You may know that our house is definitely a football following house. As the scrapping has been on hold for report writing I thought I would re-post the layout I created for the 2010 world cup.... Look out for a 2012 version sometime when I have a little more time.
It is half time in the England v Sweden game as I post this.... I *really* hope that the result is still a win for England by the end of the game!
This is a busy sporting year with the European football, Wimbledon and of course the Olympics! Will you be scrapping the summer of sport or using your scrapbooks as a creative escape from the sporting frenzy!
In other news there have been some new arrivals in store. The brand new Carta Bella products are here And can be found in here New Products
