Birthday in the Park

When I first saw the Echo Park Springtime pack

I just knew I had to have it, it wasn't a want, it wasn't an I would like but an absolute NEED!

It has proved to be a perfect choice for scrapbooking photographs from my daughter's recent 18th birthday.

I love the bright mix of pattens and the gorgeous, funky colour combinations, it seemed to have been made just for me!

So I took a piece of Bazzill Lemonade and several papers from the pack, but being the frugal scrapper that I am, I have also used the piece of paper from the front of the pack - you know the one I mean - the one which shows the contents, to make my banner. That way I was not cutting into whole sheets of paper to get just a little triangle.

The three little birds were cut from the reverse of the Floral Fun paper.

For the sky I used the clouds from the Spring Border Strips, and used half a sheet of Floral Fun for the flowers.

The strips are made from two pieces of Seasonally Stripe Paper (one from the front and one from the reverse) and the yellow scallop strip was again from the piece at the front of the pack.

I made my own 'chipboard' title by cutting out the 18th 4 times in card, on my Craft Robo, sticking them together and then cutting 18th out in paper and sticking this to the top.

I finished it off with butterflies cut from leftover scraps,

a journaling card and Springtime alpha stickers.

The lo was also made with this week's Chicken Soup recipe in mind so - two birds with one stone!
