Coordinating ranges
Don't you just love it when two different scrapbook ranges just work together? When the colours, the design, the ideas just blend and you can dip in and out of both knowing it will coordinate.
I have been working with both Cocoa Vanilla papers and Pink Fresh Studio and I loved that they worked together on this page.
I used pink and navy cardstock as the background and stamped the join. The beautiful pink and white flowers were cut from a piece of the Pink Fresh studio Indigo Hills 2 Glen paper and the smaller flowers were cut from the reverse of the same sheet.
The title block, word block and journalling block were all cut from Cocoa Vanilla Midnight All the Little Things and the quality word was cut from Cocoa Vanilla More than words Noteworthy. Two different manufacturers, three different ranges and they blend beautifully. Makes scrapping so easy.

Morning Campers
This month I've been getting ready for summer with the hot, bright colours of Echo Park's 'Fun in the Sun'. The range is full of punchy primry colours and geometri shapes and I loved carrying that theme across my pages.
Choose a day from summer last year and use a mixture of the phrases and stickers to tell us what you loved about it or use the alphabet stickers to create your own.
The papers contain a lovely mix of hot colours that team perfectly with the cardstock stickers in red, yellow, green and pale blues. Grab your favourite summer photos, find the instructions here and lets get going!
I hope you enjoy the class - I look forward to seeing your creations over on the Facebook page.
March Virtual Crop with Katherine
Hello everyone, I hope you are having a lovely scrappy weekend, here is my class using Kaisercraft's Factory 42. It is a very industrial and grungy page with a few techniques.
You will need baking parchment, inks and some gesso.
You will need baking parchment, inks and some gesso.
My first page looks at making the most of the large die-cut cog and then a stamping technique with baking parchment and a way to create brickwork without a stencil...
My 2nd page is perfect for using up scraps and was inspired by one of the stickers in this collection...very parquet flooring and satisfying to make!
I hope you enjoy the class, you can find the instructions here.
Don't forget to come on over to the ATDML # Create Facebook Page and share your creations then come back here at midday to see Tricia's class.

Virtual Crop Weekend Challenge - Album Covers Edition 3
Hello, it's Virtual Crop weekend which means it's time for the third instalment of our Album covers challenge.
This month I was inspired by an album from a group I love, they were one of the few groups that my husband and I both liked way back when we first got together and in those days we did a lot of driving most weekends following our football team so they provided the soundtrack to many a road trip.
Parallel Lines by Blondie was released in September 1978 and was their third studio album. I love the striking black and white stripes which provide the background to this album cover and the pop of red they used for the title.
For my layout I decided to keep the black and white strips but add them onto a kraft background. I cut long banner shapes into the kraft cardstock so that my black and white strips of cardstock would sit behind rather than on top of the kraft cardstock.
I knew that I wanted a black and white photo to keep the colour to a minimum and allow me to purposefully choose which colour to add. As the band are all wearing black and white using a black and white photo echoed this nicely.
Initially I had planned to look for a red alphabet in a font similar to the one on the album or to cut a similar style font but in the end I used the Letterman Thickers (one of my favourites) as they mirrored the font used by Kaspa's Restaurant so tied in with the subject of my layout.
For embellishment I did add a little more than just red but I felt that the little border strip with the yellow, aqua, orange and green just gave the over all effect a little boost.
I was really pleased to find the "Gather" perspextive in my stash which worked well on the layout, we are excited to be becoming a stockist of Bramble Fox products and those of you joining us at the retreat should have a selection of these gorgeous products available for you to buy and they will appear on the website shortly after that.
I hope you have enjoyed this months Album Cover Challenge, please do share your creations over on the ATDML # Create Facebook page and add them to the Album Cover Challenge Gallery.
Join us tomorrow for three fantastic classes from Ann, Katherine and Tricia!

Excited by florals
I guess you are all like me and are excited by new papers and supplies.
When these gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla 'More than Words' papers arrived on my doorstep this week I just couldn't wait. First there was a lot of smelling - please tell me I am not the only one to love the smell of new papers!
Thent here was the stroking. And there is even more stroking when they are double sided papers - double the pleasure. These papers are seriously lush.
Then there was the irresistable urge to fussy cut. Don't you just love papers that lend themselves to fussy cutting?
And finally there was the first page.
And let's face it - who doesn't need flowers to bring that touch of Spring to our lives?
